Everything is inaccurate. I cant even the king to go to the left or the right n the actual board game I could do that. If I was to rate it without the stars I would give it negative 5

Bad game. I really liked chess, so I got this, and it was really hard, so I put the level on one, still hard, so I turned on the hints, and I still didnt win. I am good, I beat my friends all the time, so its not because I am not good.

I luv it but its really hard to win

The difficulty is set too hard. Even level one I cant win because the computer is too good. The game often crashes or lags and the ad covers important information at the top.

The computer is owning me bigtime!

For a short time, it worked w/out incident. Over the last few days it has begun to freeze up & crash, or will not allow a piece to move to the selected squares. In a few separate game plays, non-captured pieces would disappear, then reappear a move or two later & in the opposite color or on different squares. I have since deleted this app. However, I am going to reinstall it to see of this fixes the issue. Update: Reinstalled twice w/out much success in game play. Was able to play a few matches at skill levels 1 thru 3, but after the sixth or so move, the app would freeze up and crash. I was able to back out and reenter the same match to move a piece or to find the computers piece had moved, only to have it crash again. Bugs should be addressed. Though the paid version is only $0.99, I doubt I would make the purchase. If the developers are unwilling to fix the issues on the free version, and based on a few of the reviews of the paid version (it appears the same problem exists), then why should I even consider making the purchase?

Medium difficulty is nearly impossible but one difficulty level less (2 out of 5) is too easy. Computer makes random mistakes are lower levels. I tried online but I couldnt get into a game. But its free so u cant expect much. If u r a more serious chess player ur much better off getting a more expensive app, Shredder Chess for $8 is amazing.

Ive played a million games on level 1 and I am never able to win. The levels need to be updated.

There needs to be an update where when you get a pawn to the other side you can change it without the game kicking you out.

This doesnt allow some moves even tho they are legal and I had the "computer" make illegal moves! Very bad app! And I dont review things often!

Wont let you make legal moves. Delete.

The first 2 levels are easy enough, but after that Im playing defense, not chess. Every so often the computer will let me win, but most of the time, and its been almost 2 years, on level 3 its a matter of trying not to lose material. Im a much better defensive player, but I still have no idea how to launch an attack. I like the App, though. Simple and straight forward.

Great simple FREE chess app. Works with FICS.

But has one minor error. Im okay with ads but with ads not showing up. The screen for them is black and the only ad shown is ichess without ads. The problem with it is that I cant see my captured pieces. But good "Get Hint" feature. If you dont know which move to make just press this.

This game will not let you make some moves even when the computer uses them!!!!!!

Beat level 5 in 27 moves a little harder please

i was in the chess club at my school in like 3rd or 4th grade thats were i learned all about chess and stuff so now that im in middle school im totaly hooked on playing chess and tomorow im going on a 3 hour road trip and ill be playing this app on the way there By the way if you think this is too hard your bad at chess
